Liz Peterson for PVPUSD
For Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District

A steady voice for our schools

Liz Peterson is running to bring transparent decisions, responsible budgeting, and a clear commitment to school safety to the PVPUSD board.

Liz Peterson
Our peninsula. Our schools. Our responsibility.

Good governance starts with showing our work.

Families deserve to understand how decisions are made, how resources are managed, and how safety is kept at the center of every school experience. Liz's campaign is focused on practical stewardship and an open line between the board and the community it serves.

A clear focus for our district.

School building

Rooted in the community. Ready to listen.

I’m Liz Peterson, and I’m running for the PVPUSD Board because I believe deeply in our schools and the families they serve.

My husband and I are proud parents of two Peninsula High students—our son graduated in 2024, and our daughter graduated in June. Our family has been shaped by the excellence of PVPUSD schools, and I’m committed to protecting and strengthening that tradition for every student who follows.

I currently serve as an appointed member of the Rancho Palos Verdes Emergency Preparedness Committee, where I’m dedicated to helping keep our community safe and resilient. That same sense of responsibility drives my decision to seek a seat on the school board.

I began my career at a Wall Street firm and later became a self-employed business owner. Those experiences taught me the value of careful financial stewardship, clear priorities, and results that matter. I will bring that same discipline and financial knowledge to the board so that every dollar is spent wisely on behalf of our students, stakeholders and taxpayers.

PV families work hard and lead busy lives. You deserve open communication, transparency, and a district you can trust. I will listen, ask the tough questions, and work to ensure our schools remain places of excellence that families can have faith in.

I’m ready to serve.
